Radical Acts of Play (ongoing)

Radical Acts of Play is a series of performative self-portraits exploring the importance of playfulness in search of freedom. To do this I follow a simple methodology (a game) that prioritises intuition over conscious thought. The rules of this game are ‘if I think it, I do it — no questions asked’.

The resulting images depict balancing acts, rolling down hills, climbing trees, playing with seaweed, grass and sand, cartwheels and more.

Prioritising intuition in this way can provide insight into the fundamentals of what we really want and need.
